Prior to joining Exai as Director of Research, Lisa conducted her postdoctoral work at the University of California, San Francisco in the laboratory of Exai co-founder Dr. Hani Goodzari, where she focused on the effects of RNA dysregulation in cancer. Her work, published in Nature Medicine in 2018, is credited with identifying oncRNA as a potentially useful biomarker. Lisa earned her Ph.D. in systems cancer biology from The Rockefeller University, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Scripps College.
